Idle Silence introduce “Close,” an energetic single that captures the excitement of a band finding its feet and having fun with its sound. The track feels like a direct snapshot of their live energy, bringing plenty of rawness, movement, and personality into the recording. There is an appealing imperfection running through the song and rather than taking away from the song, it gives the release a warm and human quality. The crashing drums immediately add power, while the lively guitar variations keep the track moving with plenty of attitude. Every section feels energetic without becoming overworked, allowing the band’s natural chemistry to shine.
