davvn’s “depressed in heaven” is a track that turns a familiar struggle into something strikingly relatable. The duo explores how easily we can overthink happiness, question good moments, and convince ourselves that something must be wrong, even when life is going well. That idea gives the song its emotional weight, while the expansive sound and expressive vocals make every feeling land with clarity. What keeps the song from becoming too heavy is davvn’s instinct for pop energy. The production remains bright, engaging, and full of movement, creating an interesting contrast with the song’s deeper subject matter. Its central idea is simple but powerful, we can spend so much time chasing the next perfect moment that we forget to appreciate the one already happening.
