Mean Sea's “Workhorse,” is a lively and hard-hitting single that shows exactly why the Baltimore outfit are building such an exciting reputation. The band bring plenty of character to the track, combining sharp songwriting with amazing hooks and lyrics that land with real impact. The track feels like a song about pressure, persistence and the endless effort of keeping yourself moving, and Mean Sea give those ideas plenty of energy. The softer side of their sound is still present, particularly through the guitars and sweet melodies, but it sits comfortably beside a tougher punk-inspired edge.
