silktape's “Sink or Swim,” a tough modern rock track that looks back at difficult years while refusing to surrender to them. There is a real sense of togetherness at the heart of the song, making its message feel less like a statement and more like a hand reaching out to anyone still finding their way forward. The DIY character of the production gives the song its edge. Everything feels rough around the edges, and emotionally alive, while the band’s energy creates a constant feeling that the whole track could explode at any moment.
